Product Review- Microfiber Gloves
I was sent these super warm gloves to review! I love them. I've been wearing them lately when I walk my daughter to school. The mornings have been chilly the past couple days and I like to look on my phone while waiting for Serenity's school to start. These gloves are specially made to be interactive with a smartphone without being taken off.
They feature:
-Lint free, Static free, Odor free
-Any finger activation
-Touchscreen cleaning
-Microfiber
They are also washable and durable which is a must for a busy mom. They will work on any electronic touchscreen and clean it without scratching. The fingertips are made from specially designed fibers that allow touchscreen activation.

Churro Cheesecake Bars
These are fun and surprisingly easy to make. I'm not sure how to make authentic Mexican Churros so this is my take on them. They were big hit with my oldest stepson because churros and cheesecake are like his favourite desserts ever.
I would have a bunch of pics for this post but there are some technical difficulties with picture uploading at the moment. I'll add them once it's fixed.
Ingredients
2 cans crescent rolls
2 packages cream cheese room temp
1tsp vanilla extract
1 egg
sugar
cinnamon
1. Grease a 13"by9" pan, unroll the crescent dough and place on the bottom of the pan. smush the lines together so it's a complete crust.
2. Beat cream cheese, 1/2 cup sugar, vanilla, and egg together and spread over crescent dough in the pan.
3. Unroll the second roll of crescent dough and place over cream cheese mixture. Press around the edges to make a hole free top crust.
4. Bake at 350 F for 30 minutes or until edges are brown. Mix 1/2 cup sugar and 2 tsp. of cinnamon together then sprinkle over churros.
5. Cut into squares and serve warm!

Friday Fashion Faux Pas-Bad Dye Jobs
Today on Friday Fashion Faux Pas we will discuss bad hair dye jobs. I'm sure everyone has had a bad dye job as one point or another. The best advice I can give is to get it done by a professional!
I got wild one time and decided to do some blue streaks in my hair. Don't ever use this stuff, "Manic Panic". It looks terrible. I'd post a pic but I got it fixed like the day after I did it. I love, love, love unique colors and out of the norm hair styles and colors though. I usually only get my hair done once a year because it is so expensive.
One thing that is super, super tacky and gross is a half done hair dye job. The above is a thinning, stringy, greasy mess. If your hair is going grey, dye it until it is all grey. Don't leave all half grey and half a weird color. Gross.
This, for example is a lovely do for an older lady. The hair looks healthy and well taken care of. Even though it is short it doesn't look like she is losing her hair. Nicely done!

Blue streaks on greyish hair? Never do this.
This might look ok if the whole hair was done in pink. It's not a bad color for her complexion. But this half and half stuff is ridiculous.
And spotty purple everywhere? Yeah please don't ever do this. U-G-L-Y!This, for example is a lovely do for an older lady. The hair looks healthy and well taken care of. Even though it is short it doesn't look like she is losing her hair. Nicely done!

Things I'm Lovin' Thursday
Another Things I'm Loving Thursday!
I got this amazing lipbalm for Christmas. It's called EOS and it comes in several different flavors. I got the honeydew melon and I'm completely in love. The shape is weird but it feels amazing on the lips. Even the stars are obsessed!
I'm not a big fan of lipstick, I think it looks unnatural and I'm always afraid it's going to rub off on something. I did find this awesome lipbalm called Just Bitten Kissable by Revlon. It's not too "lipstick" looking and the color is very natural. I got the color "sweetheart" and it looks great with my complexion.
Dr. Who Marathon! Hubby and I had a marathon of Dr. Who during Christmas break. I got my oldest girl really into the series. I have to say though, after the 9th doctor the 10th doctor was rather disappointing. I guess I'll get used to him as the episodes go on.
Leather jackets. There is just something about a leather jacket that makes you feel sexy and powerful. I had a giftcard to Charlotte Russe and got a leather jacket that was on sale. Can't wait to show you in my next outfit post!
Something I'm not liking...
Uhg seems like I've been plagued by hypocrites lately. My sister-in-law Jackie seems to have quite a few opinions about my life and no problem expressing them to the world even though she clearly knows nothing except what her bff tells her. Does she ever bother to get the whole story? Nope. A couple years ago we paid some of her bills and she repays us with not so much as a thank you. I mean seriously don't act like you are this good, Christian person if you treat other people like crap.

Christmas 2013 Recap
We had a great Christmas this year! We got the boys for Christmas which made it extra special.
Hubby and the boys made a big wooden dollhouse for the girls. They had so much fun doing woodworking with their dad. It's not completely ready, they did the woodwork and now it's my turn to paint it and create the furniture, carpets and curtains for it. I'm pretty excited to work on this project.
My youngest stepson's birthday is on Christmas eve so we celebrated it with cake and ice cream.
I made sugar cookies with the younger 3 kids on Christmas Eve. They had so much fun cutting out shapes.
After we baked the cookies and they cooled, we frosted them with frosting, sprinkles and candies.
My Serenity is so funny, she wanted to write a note to Santa and leave cookies for him. I've never told her about cookies for Santa so she must have read about it in a book or something haha! She wrote this note all by herself, pretty smart for a 5 year old!
Here is a little collage of the kid's pics. I did it in the dark with white lights. I think they turned out super cool!
We spent Christmas morning opening presents and spending time together. I made monkey bread and cinnamon rolls and we went to my parents house in the afternoon. We spent the rest of the day riding bikes and scooters, playing football, baseball, bocchi ball and cornhole. The boys had plenty of kids to play with since I have 6 brothers! It was a wonderful time and the kids passed out right away when we got home.
Day after Christmas the boys had to go home. It's always a sad time. The girls cry and Aaron busted into tears too. After they left it was too quiet. It always hurts me seeing everyone so sad. Makes me want to fix everything.
This is a pretty cool pic. The first one was taken Christmas of 2009. It was my first Christmas with the boys. The second pic was taken this year 2013. 5 years difference! It's amazing how big the kids have gotten. Plus a new dog and 2 new sisters!
Hope my readers all had a Fantastic Christmas!!
